September Offers a Cornucopia of Events to Gather and Celebrate

FIRST TUESDAY SMTX Film Series Returns Sept. 3 with Last Man Standing

Join FIRST TUESDAY SMTX This Tuesday, Sept. 3. . .  Revisit San Marcos and Hays County circa 2002 with the humorously enlightening nail-biter LAST MAN STANDING – a behind-the-scenes look at the election between incumbent Rick Green and newbie Patrick Rose for local state rep contrasted with a polarizing race for governor, pitting an ascendant Republican Party against a historic multicultural Democratic ticket. Characters include Karl Rove, Ann Richards, Molly Ivins, Paul Begala, Henry Cisneros, and especially two, young ambitious candidates for state rep who literally fight it out until late on election night, leaving one last man standing…. (PBS POV, 87min)

SEATING IS SLIMITED TO 120. Doors open at 6:30 pm; Film Starts at 7 pm.
