'FRUITS OF OUR LABOR' NEXT CALL FOR ART AT PRICE CENTER

As its current exhibit, The BIG SMAL Show, featuring the work of San Marcos Art League members wraps it final weeks, the Price Center’s Arts Committee has announced its next Call for Art -- Fruits of our Labor, which will be accepting works on Tues. and Wed., Aug. 29 and 30 from 10 am – 5 p.m. The Call accepts all media and is open to all area artists. A $15 submission fee applies ($10 for active Price Center members), and a 20% commission applies to any sold works. All proceeds benefit the ongoing arts efforts at the Center. The new Show will run from Sept. 2 – Oct. 28.

A Closing Reception for The BIG SMAL Show is slated for Wed., Aug. 23 from 6-8 p.m. Live music, refreshments, and a chance to meet many of the exhibiting artists are among the highlights. The Reception is free and open to all.

The Price Center is a unique downtown gathering place with a public art gallery, garden, rentable venues, and enriching activities for all. As a non-profit, operating funds come from dues-paying members, donations, grants, and revenue generated from venue rentals, Shop 1893 sales, and art sales.
