ASSB RETURNS TO PRICE CENTER WITH "FALL FOR ALL" SEPT. 22

It’s time to take a break from the summer heat and focus on cooler days ahead. The Aquarena Springs Symphonic Band (ASSB) will present a musical program, FALL FOR ALL, celebrating the change of the seasons on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Price Center in downtown San Marcos.

The band comprised of volunteer musicians from San Marcos and surrounding communities will perform various selections encompassing the theme of fall. The variety of pieces will stir the imagination to thoughts of peaceful tranquil days, changes in the wind, along with the gatherings of harvest. There will be a slight since of mystery and even reference to falling in love. Included will be theme songs from spy movies, adventure and drama, all evoking the excited anticipation of fall.

Last season ASSB featured guest artist, Dr. John C. Schmidt of Texas State University, on piano. For this concert the band will be joined by local guest artist, pianist,

Risa Schneider. She will be taking the lead on the theme from the movie “Legends Of The Fall.”

The Concert starts promptly at 7. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended by contacting the Price Center at 512-392-2900. Admission is free, but donations a $10 donations is suggested. ASSB is a non-profit organization. The program is partially funded by a grant from the San Marcos Arts Commission and in-kind support of the Price Center.
