PRICE CENTER SEEKING VENDORS FOR MARDI GRAS PARADE WATCH & POP UP
The 8th annual San Marcos Mardi Gras Parade will roll past the Price Center shortly after noon on Sat., Feb 22 amid the enticing smells of New Orleans cuisine, the sounds of live Dixieland Jazz and an adoring throng. Because of its ideal downtown location, spacious Garden and street-side view, the Center will again host a Parade Watch & Pop Up from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“We’ve secured the popular Dirty River Dixie Band and Steger’s Chiffonade who will be selling Seafood Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice and King Cake, and another vendor will be selling beignets,” said Clay DeStefano, executive director. “We’re off to a great start, and there’s room for more,’” he added.
Ideally, DeStefano would like to see more Mardi Gras-centric vendors like bead and mask retailers, face painters, and other food vendors with offerings like crawfish, pralines, etc. Vendor booths will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Spaces are available outside and inside for $30 and $40 respectively. Vendors are responsible for tables, tents and set-up.
