4th Flea Seeking More Vendors
4th Flea, the new downtown community flea market taking place on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Price Center, is seeking more booth vendors to participate in the monthly event slated to next take place on Sat., July 23.
“We’ve now held two sales and had more than 100 folks come through seeking bargains and unusual finds each time,” said Clay DeStefano executive director. “Our vendors did well, but our shoppers commented they would like more booths, and so would we,” he added.
In addition to returning vendors, new vendors that have expressed interest for this month’s sale include a comic book vendor, a tamale vendor and a specialty desert maker. DeStefano stresses there’s plenty of room for more. “If we made use of all our indoor and outdoor spaces, we could handle as many as 30 vendors each month,” he said.
Booths are available on first come, first served basis for $20 for outside space and $30 for an inside space. Private and retail vendors are welcome and encouraged. Participants will need to bring their own tents, tables and necessary display equipment. Set up is from 8-9 a.m. the day of sale. A limited number of tables are available t use the day of the sale for an additional $10 fee.
Proceeds from booth rentals benefit the Price Center, which is operated by the Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association (GSMASA), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit.
